well thanks dudes. I don't know that anything I post is that valuable and by no means am I an expert but, through my years and most recent experience I feel sometimes I have info that can help.

The thing that gets me is... why is the world would I tell someone misinformation that would cause them to go out any damage there truck ? If anything, I would explain what happen to mine for them to avoid the same thing.

Our trucks are very strong and can handle some real abuse but, I found the break point. It's real likely I'll find it again next season and if I don't, it just means I wasn't trying hard enough.... not that I did know what I was doing :-)

I didn't get any flack myself. I've heard from more than one person here though that they were told in so many words... " that dude blew up his truck... you might be careful about listening to him " It's all fine if people are watching out for others but, those people should know the facts first before discrediting someone.

Next time it happens triton, simply say; My truck can beat up your truck.

See I look at it this way... Yeah Triton blew his motor running it hard (and he knew the concequences going in), in turn Triton and all of us get to learn from what happened. Kind of that "Dr it hurts when I do this....then don't do it" issue. Life's lessons are the best learning tools.

Triton just remember that it is fairly obvious when asking for advice who is full of bull**** and those who are actually knowable.
The bottom line is when you ask for advice you are suppose to listen to the advice given, think about it and decide weather or not to follow it,or research it more before doing anything.
You would fit in the knowlable catagory and all of the information that I have recieved from yourself, Drew, Jakebrake and others has been very helpful. This is an excellant site and with DIY's with pictures from the memebers, it can only get better. I myself have done a DIY and yes it does take more time to complete the job but I do it for two reasons; 1) to help out another member with the same or similar task 2) hopefully other members can offer suggestions or a better way to do things. perhaps I overlooked something. Losing Tritons input would be a loss to everyone on this site. Ignore the comments Triton, it is obvious to me as I am sure it is obvious to other memebers that you are a valuble asset to this site and have invaluable input and advice to offer.

Those sound like fighting words, are they Mayfair?

But yea, you don't find out the limits of your stuff until you push it over the limit. Nothing wrong with that.

Just because your motor blew means that you dont know how to build a motor and nobody should take heed to your advise? Come on! I'm pretty sure some of the big names in the business have blown motors. But by all means, don't listen to what they have to say. They don't know how to build a motor.

FFS!

A wise man once told ME. "Other peoples opinions of you are none of your business". I have learned to live by that. I don't give a rip what someone thinks of me, and you shouldn't either. My sig on antoher site says "what I say is my ownopinion, take it or leave it" again my outlook on life.
