RE: HRVP44 or SOVP44 or else?
what is the difference between HR,SO,SHO pump?
why gfb say it will drive alot better whit s SO?
some peps are saying than a SO pump will produce more power than a HR whit a box?
and i have hard time finding information about SO and SHO pump
Also what make injector decent? i mean mach one are good one and jammers are crap?
sure jammer are tips only and cost about 250$ and full bodied injector are over 700$
but its because ur paying for the body or because tips only are cheap stuff?
Im only trying to make wise move to upgrade my truck so i wont end buying things 2 times

RE: HRVP44 or SOVP44 or else?
HO= High Output (used on 245hp stock 6 speeds and designed only for the HO engines). SO= Standard Output (came on everything else and responds to fueling boxes better than the HO pump). HR=Hot Rod(aftermarket only and basically delivers more fuel than the SO or HO). The HRVP44 is known for a horrible lumpy idle and most say it is not worth the extra money. The difference in price between the SO and HRVP44 would be more wisely spend on other mods, unless you are modded like crazy and STILL need more fuel. The jammers are an ok design but the F1 injectors will give you more power with less heat (lower EGTs) and less smoke (yeah it gets annoying at a certain point). I haven't heard about about the SHO pump. I assume they are talking about the HRVP44. I haven't heard anybody that bought the HRVP44 say they would buy it again if they had to replace it.
Also, I just saw your truck was a 6 speed so it probably already has the HO pump. You can use the SO pump but I have heard some complaints about low end power loss when putting a SO pump on a HO engine, but those people also still had the stock HO injectors which have a higher pop-off pressure than aftermarket or SO injectors (the HO pump runs at a higher pressure than the SO pump). If you have the jammer nozzles only and aren't planning on upgrading injectors then I would suggest you get a replacement HO pump so you don't run into any problems or be disappointed from a low end power loss.

RE: HRVP44 or SOVP44 or else?
im looking to get around 600 HP so im wandering about upgrading the VP to get more fuel
if the SO is not better than what i got,no reasons to do so right?
im going to get twins as soon as possible so bigger injectors will be needed but i want to make sure
ill got the fuel to feed them well...
so will swaping a full injector set will do much over a tips swap? i mean tips are around 250$ and full injector range over 700$ and more

The HO pump cannot deliver enough fuel to support 600rwhp. 500 is pushing it. You will have to go with the SO or HRVP. You will also need some big injectors. Edge really does not make anything big enough to support 600. 600hp has been done many times on a SO pump, but never (unless somebody can show me an example) on a HO pump. Twins will be necessary(unless you get a monster single but then it'll be a bear to drive). Who are you getting them from? I suggest you give BD Power a call. I'm sure they'll be willing to give advice to a fellow Canuck. They happen to have a pretty sweet twins setup too.
