If your wife’s 2.7 is like the one that’s in my wife’s 2006 Sebring and calls for 5w20 oil then make sure you use high quality synthetic oil in it. I used synthetic oil that said it was good for 7500 miles. When it had 3500 miles on it I wanted it changed, as I did not like the looks of the oil. Being it was the first oil change on her car and it being I bough it used I had a UOA done. When the report came back the oil only had a TBN 1.9, not very well for only having 3500 miles on the oil. I was surprised being the owner’s manual said it could go 6,000 miles in between oil changes with dino oil in non-severe use and I had used synthetic oil. I now have it on the new Amsoil 0w20 in hopes that it will hold up to where it can go 6,000 miles in-between oil changes, being she has to drive 45 miles to work every day.
I'll be away on business until thursday night and I'm not sure what time I'll be back on Thursday. But we can try to plan something for next week. I'm here all week.
