In my neck of the woods it’s not the winter fuel that hurts my fuel mileage it’s the cold weather. I have taken winter fuel and used it once the temps get back above 45 degrees and my mileage from a tank of winter fuel is better then when it was used in cold weather. BTW my winter fuel does not have any #1 mixed in to it[8D] Here is the URL to my winter fuel: http://www.premiumdiesel.com/product/arctic.aspx

Wall Street Journal wrote day before yesterday that average price of diesel in USA was $3.42
{87 octane regular gasoline was $3.16}

The same article said refinery problems in Europe were causing a tight supply of diesel worldwide as the Europeans pulled in diesel imports to make up for their refinery short falls.

Diesel supply was expected to stay tight for at least 4 years
until more plants are built to turn natural gas into zero sulfur diesel fuel (dimethyl ether)
to use as 'blending stock' to bring the natural dino diesel down to ULSD specs.

It also does not help that one of the world's natural sources of low sulfur crude oil...Nigeria...is having internal civil war problems.

I wouldnt be surprized to see your mileage take a dump. . .mine just did cause of this winter blend crap[:@]
If it did/does then we'll have an idea of how much it does drop. then I'll have a new reference point from that tank forward.

I'll also toss in a few tanks of the now more expensive GTL fuel to compare against.

well. . .yesterday, the ford guy next to me put $109 in his 36 gallon tank. . .my bill was $88
my bills have been $115~130... 2x a week ( about every 4 days)... yeah ouch. < but the pay is good lol >
