is there a list of common problems any were? i work for audi and i know that some cars have things that leak or just break, is there a list or can one of you moderators start something so that if youtruck isunder waranty/or not every one may know what other ppl have broken. this would be a huge help thanks.

 

That is a very very wide topic there. There are as many common problems for each generation of vehicle. That would be a complex list to create.
You need to be more specific on what vehicle you are talking about and what year model. And if you are looking for a list of multiple models and generations, you might be out of luck. That would be like me asking you to make a list of all common known problems for each Audi model and each year model of each one. I'm sure that would be a very complex list for you to make.

If there is a specific Truck you are asking about, I recomend you re-state the question and I'll bet someone who is in the know will chime in and help you out.

 

each generation has its own quirks. . .and some quirks will lead to other problems if not taken care of. . .

now if your looking for problem / solutiuon that would be a rather long list since similar problems have different solutions.

 

what in really looking for is what kind of problems any one has had with 06 ram 2500 or 3500 cummins with a 6 speed, in wondering because if i know there is a know problem i can complain about it to the dealer and hopefully get a newest most updated part that will fix the possible situation. that and my neighbor that has the same truck was asking me about an after market warranty for his.

 

ball joints are a common problem. . .they are soft and wear out, however, that is a common problem spanning all 3rd gens. the lift pump is crap. injectors tend to go out, however dealers usualy replace them without tooo much of a headache depending on the service writer you have.

past that there arent too many issues these trucks have stock.


heck, my 04.5 has 52K and change and only seen the dealer once for a factory recall on the drip edge seal. . .past that nothing mechanical is wrong, she starts every time I turn the key.

 

Same with my 05 with 93000 miles on it.

 

I have had 1 injector replaced, and found a leak on my transmission to be the shifter seal which is on order and will be replaced under warranty. I am just shy of 50K miles. The only other complaint is my truck makes loads of brake dust, BUT the brakes work great and have not warped yet.

 

wow u can deffently tell he works for audi... i work for VW and they updated parts every other day... hahahah thats hilarious i dont think dodge is quite like VW/audi.. i can list which parts for which car by year and model for vw... thats awosme

 

As stated previously ball joints, I have had all four replaced at 30,000 miles. I have had the front wheel bearing seals replaced and the rear driveshaft rear universal replaced. I now have 45,000 miles on.
