what size square socket do i need to adjust the transmissiont bands?

 

i just have my buddy at the tranny shop do it...alot easier for me that would for sure MESS something up in the transmission!

 

What tranny you got my manual goes down to 2002...it covers the 46,47,48RE Trans I can give ya all them torque specs and how-to of it but don't know the socket size off the top of my head....sorry

 

you would need a 19mm socket I believe and an open end wrench.

be prepared for a mess of trans fluid ..

replace that filter while you are there also. make sure to get the reusable pan gasket ... the cork ones fall a part.

thanks guys. one more question my dad was talkin to the mechanic at a transmission place near my house and they sayed to add a little bit of lubrecent to the oil. any idea what there talking about?
