Well, for those of you that ARNT running the stock transmission, what ARE you running? I recently spent $2200 at a guy known for his good work. Nice guy, I am just seeming to have problems wit his transmission. Now if this next torque converter doesn't last longer then im thinking about going all suncoast stuff and spending that extra money.

What do yall think?

yah i just e-mailed the guys at sun coast and the gave me some prices.

PLSD-48RE-4X Transmission $2,695.00
2361844-3D Torque converter $1,295.00
618-HSA Billet input shaft and hub $742.00
618-LFP Laminated flexplate $432.00

i estimated that it will cost about six to six and a half grand after taxes and shipping. are there products worth it? like i understand the have some durable transmissions but is it worth it for that price?

How much hp/tq would be safe with a set up like that?

well, acaully the guy is very nice and responsable for his warrenty...he said most likely just a bad part because he HAS NEVER had to replace on in 6 month of the warrenty, or even within 2 years...soo he is going to check it out and replace it...if it does not work, we are going to come to an agreement on a full billet or atleast most of billet parts from suncoast..
