Surgery complete. Was a success. He will be released from the hospital tomorrow or sunday depending on him and his recovery. mother in law is there and we are rotating shifts to hang out with him. Thank you for your parayers and thoughts

My brother has 2 shunts in his head. He was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus at 3 months old. They put one shunt in with a pressure relief valve to drain his ventricles (if needed) and another to drain the cyst on the back of his head. Both shunts were put in extra long with the extra just coiled up inside of him. They uncoil as he grows. He is 8 1/2 years old now and has not had any problems since his first surgery.
