Default Which SB clutch for NV5600

I just got my 30K bonus, and since I'm deployed, it's all tax free--Hell F'N Yea![sm=happybounce.gif]

Now I have a decision to make about which clutch I need/want.

Right now I have a J/A that will be upgraded to the "hot" version, and I may add something to bump the pressure like an EZ.
I am looking to hopefully before all is said and done break either the 500hp or 1000t marks if I ever put it ona dyno (pretty likely since I live 10 miles from Edge and they have an annual dyno day). I think 1000t would be easier.
Iwill also be prepping the truck for towing duties to comfortably tow a 15K lb toyhauler.
I would like to keep the driveability as close to stock as possible, but be able to take it to the track once in a while and not be afraid of toasting the clutch either. I think most go with the OFE and I've heard it can hold more than what SB says it's good for, so I think it fits my requirements, but for only 100 bux difference I don't want to regret my decision.
What do you think?

here's the thing. . .that FE clutch is going to be VERY grabby. so when your backing up a trailer you wont have the slip you would want.

in your case I would go OFE.

BTW, I cannot get any bonuses even though I was qualified for the 15K. all because I'm a federal Technician.[:@]

I'm active duty AF.
We are now integrated with a reservist wing, and many of them are air reserve technicians. The do the same job I do, but get paid more, wear civilian clothes, and go home after 8 hours[:@]

The OFE is a great clutch, very smooth, but with 1000 ft lbs of torque and dumping it at a dragstrip it isn't going to stand up very long. Yea it will hold more than what SB says, but not if you take it to the track. I still voted OFE because it sounds like you won't be beating it very often, just be careful.

That seems to be the consensus. Everyone I talk to says its a great clutch, and will hold the power, butwon't stand up to boosted launches. They seem to weld themselves to the flywheel[]

I went ahead and ordered the OFE. I just have to be cafe not to abuse it until its locked up
