2007 CTD 6.7 (auto) Where is the truck suppose to idle at????? It shows 800, is that right? It seems to be idling high when I'm at a light!

it depends how cold is your engine. Sometime my hemi idle about 2,300 rpm to 3,000 rpm if the weather is freezing below -25 degrees.

look in your owners manual, at a certain temp it will automatically idle up and i think you can adjusted your idle up on a auto trans

It seem to be idling high...it's 60 degrees. The sound of it seems high, it's my first CTD and still learning.

my 06 CTD idles at 800 normally and 1000 when it's really cold. 800 is normal for these diesels

I think the sticker on the top of the engine should say the idle speed. Mine idles at 750 RPMs
