Default Do our Rams have more problems because we hang out here ??

That question popped into my head tonight as I was driving home and my Check Engine Light came on yet again ... [:@]

This time I got out my new code reader and this is what I got

P1693 - MIL FLT in Comp Module

If I remember correctly, this just means that another code has been stored in my computer. The other code that i got was -

P0336 - Crankshaft Position Sensor A

Does this mean that my Crankshaft sensor is going bad? If so, has anyone replaced one?

Any other thoughts??

I dont know but I got to redo that edge connection on the pump wire. Started acting funny today when the edge was above lvl2. Heck I soldered the connection and used heat shrink. Hopefully its just the connection and not the edge itself. I can fix the connection, but not the edge. If I left it this way my transmission would be happier though

Didn't you do thatpump coverthing?

What kinda problems are you having? I just used that blue wire tap thingy that came with the edge to tap my pump wire.

No I didn't use the cover (didn't know about it when I put my edge in). Basically it studders when taking off because that wire controls timing.Ican run the lower 2 settings on the edge comp because it doesnt do any timing. I chose not to use that plastic connector that came with it because it looked cheap (I steam clean my engine pretty often) and I thought I could do a better job with solder and heat shrink (apperently I can't). I sure hope its the connection and not the edge though. I've never had any problems with it till now.

I'm a little confused how you were able to heat shrink the connection. Did you cut the pump wire and solder the Edge wire to the stripped wires, or did you somehow cut a little insulation from the center of the pump wire?

I don't know how you managed to do either to be honest with you. That pump wire didn't leave much ( if any ) room at all to work with. I had a real tuff time just getting that blue thing on with the little bit of flex that I got out of that pump wire.

if you pull the intake elbow and the plastic cover off the pump, it gives you a little more room. I cut the pump wire and soldered it all together. Did a really nice job, I thought. Would suck to have to buy another edge again cause my original plan was to stack it with the smarty. I'll find out this weekend. It just had to actup tonight on the way to the store (today is my sunday) so I gotta go a whole week. lol[&:]just my luck

Couldn't you just send your Edge in for repair?

How will you determine if it IS the Edge for sure?

P1693 - MILF ALERT

I wish my edge had that feature. I always have to keep an eye out myself. Must have been one of these around.
