The diablo was his problem. I have a 7.3 PSD in my van that I resently did some stuff to. For $150 I installed a free flowing muffler and had the PCM reprogrammed by DPTuner <<<< the people the go to with Fords !

Being a 4x4 conversion with tool bins and the rack, you can imagine it's very heavy. With those two mods.... it lights the tires !! I bet I could beat your friend with my van LOL.... might even keep up with the Jr's lower settings.

If your friend really wants to help his truck... and maybe at least keep up with you.... tell him to call Diana or Jody @ DPTuner it's where just about all the Ford go!

to get an idea of the size of my van.....

well that's a typical ford owner. talk lotsa **** but can't back it up
Actually that is a typical chevy/duramax owner. In my experience ford owners silently hate everyone else's trucks and think that theirsare the the best..... well, they atleastdon't brag about their trucks at the top of their lungs (and then get their asses stomped ), like the chevy guys, hahahaha.

DP tuner is definately the way to go on the powerstroke. My buddy has one on his 2002 7.3l 6 speed and that thing is quick.

what Jake said !!! I only have a 60hp economy tune too. That was special for my van... most truck run 100hp tunes and up. My fuel mileage has gone way up and the hp way up too. Transmission shifts are changed, all gears stay lock up all the way down to 28mph in 2nd. It's almost like having a jakebrake :-)

Drew, the van is lifted 3". It's a part of the 4x conversion. It has a Dana 80 front axle with upgraded springs, trailing arms, rear leaf springs, Bilsteins all around and a Hellwig sway bar. The best parts is the Alpine jam system with XM, two 10" Alpine sub-woofers and 4 - 6x9's I spend more time in the van than my truck so it gotta be somewhat like my truck :-)

the only way to get a 4x4 van is to buy a stock van and send it off for the conversion. it has to be lifted cause it starts life as a 2wd :-)
The nice thing about the conversion is that it's factory approved and doesn't void the warranty.
