first of all i have an 01 that is an auto and i am looking to put the quadzilla adrenaline on it. i just talked to one of the guys at discountpowerparts.com today and he told me that my stock fuel pump isn't going to cut it and that if i don't upgrade it that i will end up blowing my injection pump. the adrenaline is supposed to put out 180 hp and 450 ftlbs at its highest setting. i was wondering if you guys think that i should upgrade it to or not. he also told me that my stock tranny will be in tiny pieces if i don't upgrade it as well but i kinda already expected to have to that. he did say that as long as the kit is turned down that the tranny should be ok but he made it sound like if i didn't spend the $600 for the new fuel pump then my injection pump would die instantly. let me know what you think! thanks!

well from what i have learned in reading the threads and posts here at DF that all sounds very accurate. but if you have chips with settings like the one you are talking about and you keep it tuned down you shouldent hurt much. i was once told that anything over 65-100 extra horse power is to much and you would then have to upgrade things such an trannys, turbos, injectors and fuel pumps. but im sure others will chime in and add or correct me on some things as i am not the "gear" head of this forum

Stock lift pumps are junk. I believe that is one of the first upgrades that should be done to any 24v. There is a good chance it will go out and fry your injector pump.

yep stock lift pumps stink. if you've got a chip that does what they are telling you then yes ur tranny needs upgraded. also you will need to look into a new turbo and better intake and exhaust. with those kinds of power settings your EGT's will be through the roof. look into a good set of gauges to monitor the EGT's anything above 1500F i've heard is asking for trouble. or is it 1600F i dunno Drew or jake will clarify.
i already have anegt, trans temp and boost gauges. i also have a 4.5 down pipe and then 5 inch the rest of the way back into duels at the back of the truck. what lift pump do you think would work and would be enough? i also already have 100 hp over stock injectors.

Actually 1300 and up (pre turbo) is gettin' dangerous.. When you hit 1600 you're in Triton territory and you can already kiss something important goodbye [:@]ORIGINAL: Ben D.

Don't get me wrong, I really admire the work and testing that he's put into that truck
So at what HP points do we need to consider
Torque converter
billet shafts
etc

my uncle, who has been building dodge trannys for years says that i will need a billet converter and shaft, redrill the valve body or something like that, a shift kit, and all new clutches. he told me to wait til i blow the tranny though before i rebuild it. any ideas on what kind or powerful of a lift pump i will need?
