Default Do I need better supply pump for a edge juice attitude?

i have a 2004.5 ram diesel. I want to remove cat, replace muffler with aero 40/40 , hookup my edge juice attitude and get a afe stage 2 filter. Will i need a bigger better fuel system/fuel supply pump and if so which kind?

It never hurts to update your lift pump. Unfortunately the ones that Dodge uses are cr@p. The most popular choices are Walbro and FASS units. Look at it as good insurance for not ruining your VP44 or CP3 which cost several thousand dollars to replace.

like stated by cowboybob, you are not running a VP44 therefore you are not going to loose as much fuel pressure as we do with an edge and attitude combo. But like he said it never hurts. I went with the FASS and love it. Never seen below 12 hauling.

If you haven't upgraded your tranny yet, it will slip before the lift pump gets behind with the Juice turned up.
That being said though, the lift pumps on the 04.5 are on the filter housing and are notoriously cheesy.
I just ordered an AirDog FP100. They are on sale right now for 499. It's really the same thing as a FASS, but quite a bit cheaper on sale. Some people report that the air seperation and extra fuel makes horsepower, but I'm not sure.
I am upgrading to get the 3 micron filtration and reliable pump as a preventative measure. The extra fuel and air seperation is just a bonus that has no drawbacks as far as I can see.
I will soon get the "hot" unlock code for the Juice and I just ordered an EZ to stack with it, so I think with those a better lift pump is in order

the CP3 on your 3rd gen is a bit more resiliant than the VP44 when it comes to loss of fuel pressure. very few have actualy died from them running dry. however a higher capacity pump is always a good thing

I'm just amazed that my stock lift pump has been going as well as it has with the TST which fuels mush harder than that edge box, and the dyno runs, and all the other street raceing Ive done

I would. I just had my lift pump go out and I only have 39000 miles on my truck. Due to timing and circumstance, i had to purchase a factory replacement from Geno's, but am planning on upgrading to the following in the near future. I was left stranded because it decided to stop working. It's not a matter of will it, it's a matter of when. If you have the means, I would for sure upgrade.

Might want to look at this and save a couple bucks.

The website kinda sucks, but the price is real. Anybody that sells AirDog should match it though. Comes with 3 micron filter and 1/2" hose and fittings to plumb directly to CP3.
The AirDog is physically much smaller than the FASS, and the smaller filters are much cheaper to replace (about $15 instead of $45), and they are remarked Fleetguard Stratopores.

I've talked with the owner of AirDog (Charlie) and he has been very helpful. Even gave me his cell # so I could call him if I have any problems. He is the guy that invented this style setup several years ago. His son is the guy that owns FASS, but Charlie owns all the patents
