well today i was at the shop at 6:15 before school....he acaully went to UPS and got the TC last night instead of waiting till 1pm to get it today....so he is installing it right now and HOPEFULLY everything works out ill get it back this afternoon....now if it goes out sometime on the way to maine and back, then ill b pissed!....so hopefully it doesnt come down to the ATS which you can find for less then 8 grand, but even close to that I dont want to spend in a transmission....yet!

making power on these trucks is easy and not too expensive. . .holding the power and putting it to the ground is where it becomes expensive.

that's quite the tranny there. I just hope you won't need to use the warranty cause that's what I've seen so many have problems with.

It's like buying the life time warranty starter from your local auot parts store. Sure, they'll warranty it for life but, once you've replaced it 5 times, you couldn't care less about a life time warranty and more... you just want something that works. I've seen several guys have to warranty their tranny through ATS up to 3 times. They did it the first time but, fought to warranty after that. Their warranty is for your basic daily driving. If you break something from getting crazy... it's not gonna be covered.

Just a little insite from what i've seen over the last couple years. You may be just fine and I hope you get lots of burn outs out of it :-)

I'm not saying Suncoast is the only way to go but, it's been a race/pulling proven set up for many trucks. ATS does make some nice stuff and maybe they've gotten better about honoring warranties ??? I've meet Clint ( the owner ) several times at races and he and his crew are a bunch of great guys. To mahy people think though that just because they offer a warranty that they can go out and abuse, race or pull with them and it will be covered..... not the case. It would be like taking your truck to the dealer for warrarty work after you broke something using programmers, they say... sorry, no help for you.

You really don 't need a 8K trans either unless you plan to start racing or pulling. A good TQ and input shaft would do wonders for you. You have to remember though.... just because you spend 8K doesn't mean for one minute you'll not have problems. Spend your money wisely brotha !
