I thought there was a couple guys on here that had warranty claims denied because of something with the K & N filters? Anybody remember this or is my mind playing games on me?

Go to K&N's web site and search around about WT. problems using their air filters. K&N has been very aggressive in defending their air filters, and I believe they may have won some sort of case on the subject, or at least forced DC to back down on the subject. I don't remember the details.

You may want to Search this forum, as I believe the subject has been addressed before.

they shouldnt be able to not cover the warranty because they feel like it. Isnt there a SEMA lawsuit that covered this?

Here's a link to all of the K&N info that I have, but the real question here is, even though you MAY win a case in court, do yo really want it to go that far? I'd put a stock filter in before taking it to a dealer just for piece of mind.

Here's the link ...

Mayfair is right. They WILL void your warranty for a K&N filter. Yes you can fight it in court, but how muck money do you have to spend on lawyers? Chrysler has plenty for lawyers none for warranty work.
