Oil test back...not good
Got my oil test back yesterday from Blackstone and they said I have antifreeze in the oil and the aluminum deposits were heavy from the pistons (because of the Antifreeze in the oil). They recommended I test again in 7500 miles. This engine goes out of warranty in about 14,000 miles.
Anybody else had this happen. Should I take it in now, or wait and have the second test done? What is the root cause of the antifreeze in the oil? ...I'm no mechanic, but that doesn't sound good at all. Any information would be great.
BTW, I used the Valvoline Blue that is endorsed by Cummins. I ran it 9600 miles and the test showed a value of over 4, meaning it had quite a bit of useful life left.

coolant in the oil could be caused by bad head gasket, or some ding dong that filled the over flow and didn cap the oil off right... who knows with out testing the engine itself for compression.
You can either do another UOA in about 3K and if coolant shows up then take it in to Dodge or take in in now so that they can look to see what they find. My self I would take in in ASAP and not wait.
If you are going to take it in, go over the entire truck first and remove ANYTHING that isn't supposed to be there. Check your oil filter as well. Make sure it's approved as well as all of your additives, air filter, fuel filter ANYTHNIG that isn't MOPAR approved. I'd hate to see em turn the screws to you because you had a Fram air filter on there or something stupid like that.
As far as I know (I bought the truck used in January), the only thing not original is a K&N air filter. Surely they would not turn it down for that!
