If you can smeel or "taste" something sweet while sitting in the cab, your heater core may be leaking.....

is the blower fan on for the heater-a/c system???

you may have a loose fan or debris in the fan when on low speeds makin funny noises.

I would back flush the cooling system.

1-use the radiator flush solution to clear out the junk

2-cut a T in and back flush with a hose.

3-fill back up with 50/50 mix

wont cost too much scratch and will be a PM at the same time

My 97 makes that noise every morning when I start it, has since new, But mine only does it in the morning when started, only lasts a few seconds though! Sounds like water running through a plastic pipe.
