congrats on the new job, i just finished mine, 36 years on a city fire dept. 60 years old and starting the next leg of my journey, if you are doing a job you like, you always start the day with a smile, and working in a gun store, what's not to like, here is my screensaver, and a few possessions.

x3 on the discount?[sm=violent053.gif][sm=signs007.gif] do you (or anybody) know much or have opinions in the S&W m&p or the FN 5-7?

ORIGINAL: bksram3500

OK residents can buy rifles and shotgun in Kansas right? I am always in the market for a new gun.
I believe that out of state residents can buy guns in KS.

mytowrig- I would rather get the S$W than the FN. The ammo will be more expensive for the FN and the mags will probably be cheaper for the SW too.

Thanks for all the responses ya'll.

as for the FN, it would be more of a novelty shooter than a daily shooter... but i heard that at first they werent available to general public becasue the rounds were too powerful and penetrating? i have also heard that accuracy with those rounds is incredible. BUT, i havent heard any real reviews from any owners or unbiased testers. and that goes the same for the m&p. i have held one and it seemed way more top heavy, and heavy overall, IMO, but i would like to hear from a professional if you know anything at all about either one...
