that dreaded lift pump code ! Don't know what year you have but, the LP's are known to go bad and need replacing. An aftermarket pump is what's recommended.

P0628 = Fuel Pump Relay Control Circuit Low Voltage

Do you have any problems or just the code ? It may not be the pump, it could be something electrical too

I just received that code a few weeks ago and I had to replace the lift pump. Due to circumstance and timing, I had to go with a factory replacement from Geno's, but am going to upgrade to a Walbro setup from Glacier Diesel as soon as I can.

What year truck do you have?

Idon't think that PO628 is one of the death codes for the VP44 is it? Not knowing what year truck he has makes it difficult to narrow down.
