In my sons truck he just got 4 eclipse 5x7's w/ kicker 350.4 amp, and 2 JL audio 10w1v2's witha JL 500.1 amp. They sound absolutly amazing. You hear everything. JL audio is expensive, but WELL worth it.

From past experiences with my cars and friends cars, don't go sony unless you plan on having everything sony otherwise they don't sound like they are supposed to. Sony sound good if you want to have everything including your deck be sony, but if you are going to mix and match then JL Audio, or JBL are good choices. I think when I finally decide what I am going to do for a stereo in my truck I will be going with JBL.

Yeah I just went to my buddys shop.....JBL sounds SWEEEEET!....We are going with Pioneer for the indash 7 inch TV with GPS and all the goodies. Then JBL door speakers and tweaters, then a custom under the rear seat box with 2 12 inch mtx's. The amp he has but i forget what it was....

i dont want the little river boom boom boom sound but just a good sound and so that all my passengers on the way to maine and **** can watch the DVDs and all...

May I make a sugjestion then that will save you some money and sound just like you are looking for?
My last set-up was a 5 channel Kenwood 650 watt amp with all kenwood factory replacement speakers and one jl audio 12" sub in the back. I think 2 12" s will be too much for what you describe and you will need an extra Amp to push them. Buy a good five channel Amp and make sure the head unit you buy has a built-in separate controle for the sub (5th channel).

I plan on doing the same set-up in my Ram but I'll be going with jbl for the stock replacement speakers this time and I still have the Kenwood Amp.

my bad...it isnt too 12s, they are 2 10s..i had the same subs in my old hemi and they sounded pretty good i thought...and in my old jeep i had 6 tvs, 10 kicker subs, 6 amps, and the plastic was pretty much falling off the doorsand i for sure dont want that lol!

Ill check out that set up you are talking about and see how much he will give it for...he is hooking me up for sure on the stuff i listed above soo..its pretty sweet..i think ill have between $800 - $1000 in EVERYTHING....which isnt much at all..the indash gps and dvd is about $900 in best buy or something!

good deal with keeping the truck. i think that you will be happy. remember with a stereo you get what you pay for in quality but most of the sound is in how its wired and tuned on the deck. as far as getting straight a's i hope you pay a lot of attention in math. 2012 - 2007 last time i checked was 5 years. but its cool.

Maybe you can hook me up. I am in the market for an indash double din GPS/Reciever touchscreen. I been looking for a good deal on one.
