Sounds good to me. Has to be a touch screen for me though. And you are talking about the double din size screen rite? Not the one that is motorized and pops up out of the dash I hope. These trucks will beat the hell out of one of those I fear. I would be happy with one the size of the Stock Nav units.

the price difference is $50 each way...the indash NON motorized one is a 6.5inch touch green with GPS. Then there is the motorized one the pops out(the one I am looking at) that is also touch screen..and he prized the about $50 less then the non motorized ones..for what ever reason...but i will let you know what he says!

jbl is great almost all the brands listed in this thread are great. I would stay the hell away from sony. There is no sugar coating it. sony blows nuts. there amps are overrated. example you pay for 1200 watts youg et 150. same for their subs. the subs say 1300 watts when all they can really take is 200. Sony lies and makes a ****ty product.

what pioneer is it that you are getting. is it an indash screeen or a dual din??? if it's the oen i'm thinking which would be the pioneer D3 that thing is ******* dude.

no dude it's amazing. we did a D3 in an f150 with sat radio, gps, bluetooth, basicallly everything that thing is capable of doing he had. It's friggin sweet. touch screen change colors I mean you name it. It's just amazing. just amazing.

it woudl be this one right here http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU.../AVIC-D3?tab=B

the only downside to double dins and flip outs are that they tend to have a lower preout voltage than most standard headunits. for example most headunits of good quality have a 4-8v preout. but the d3 has 2.2. everything else is the same. 3 band parametric eq all of it is the same but the preout voltage. which isn't a big deal unless you want to add a few amps to the system. like a 4 channel and a monoblock.

Pioneer is great as well. My dad has a pioneer deck in his 98 1500 with the stock infinity speakers, he pops in his deep purple CD and turns it ALL the way up, absolutely NO distortion. Its fun to roll through the Ft. Lauderdale ghetto with classic rock blaring

I just sold a piece of land with a little building on it around Asheville so got some money from that for the truck!
You sold a hunk of land so that you could mod your truck ??

That's a WHOLE new level of obsession !!!

Off topic but hang in there and keep the grades up.You'll be riding in an '07 in no time 4 years is nothing. Like somebody said they'll probably get the bugs worked out of the 6.7's by then but these last 5.9's are keepers.
