Lousy Lousianna Roads
I took a trip to New Orleans Via I-10 East Road taxes really must be wasted on something else. The Dually rides fairly well on the Texas roads, but it felt as if I traded in my driver's license for a Sherman Tank operator license. LOL Well I really did well on fuel this trip. 17.5 hand calculated. Just wanted to rant about the Lousy roads in LA.
Those are some ruff roads. On my last trip to New Orleans, the worst part of I-10 seemed to be near the TX-LA border. I won't even consider driving my RX-8 to New Orleans because those roads are so harsh.

I was running 80 psi and at times when the speed limit was down to 60 mph I was getting 23.5 mpg. I guess as long as you just fight the erge and KEEP YOUR FOOT OUT OF IT and cruise along at the speed limit mpg will be tolerable. Now if you have to show up some PSTRK or DRMX along the way then I guess that it's worth the little mpg drop.

SC on 95Nwasn't smooth in my cousin's dually, but he was running 85 lbs in the tiresand still getting bad mileage, should have took my 5.9, would have saved a tank of fuel up and back.

My son went to mississippi and the trailer they were towing broke its leaf spring because of the roads. The trailer had made the trip to mexico and back many times, but failed on the interstate.
You all are preaching to the choir. I live in north central Louisiana, and trust me, the roads don't get any better in any other part of the state. To add insult to injury, we pay state tax on practically everhthing, and not very much at all, if any, goes to the roads.
i drive these roads every 2 weeks going from mississippi to galveston,tx. i drove my truck down here and it beat the hell out of my front end especially when i swapped over from tx to la. and both ways have a ton of road work going on so hopefully they can fix alot of it here in the near future.
