b99 bio in an '05?
yes/no? has anyone run b99 in thier HPCR motor yet? On the way to WA I had the chance to fill up with b20 and they also sell b99... $3.39/gallon. cheeper than Sacramento diesel. I'll be passing by it on Saturday and am going to fill up with either b20 or b99...

just changed the fuel filter and its too late to bring a spare... up in WA right now. heading back Saturday. Drew, got that 911 help list handy lol... JK... planning on doing the fillup on the way home. So far it's been running great. Also keep in mind I've been running the GTL blend in there as well (about 7~8 tanks worth)...

There is a station right down the road from me that sells B-99 all year round...it might be 40 outside right now. They have no problems pumping it outta the tank and this station is even nice they have a sign that says something about 'don't forget your anti-gel'. But not all users of BioDiesel are so smart.....City of Portland's biodiesel trucks stranded

The temp there may not be over, 40 but the tank is probably in the ground thus it will stay above 50*. Bio does have a tendency to gel at a higher temp than #2 does. The gelling issue would be my only concern with the B99. When you mix bio with regular diesel it raises the gel point, but I am not an expert on at what temps and at what ratios. If you are on a trip and plan on running the truck back to warmer temps, the fuel that returns to the tank from the engine should keep it warm and running smoothly. I have had no problems running B20 without any anti gel agent here in SC. Let us know how it works out.
