When I bought my truck, is had a Fram filter in it. The first thing I did was drive to a Napa and get a WIX filter. For a stock replacement paper filter, IMO its the best. With the Juice on 5, I have yet to be able to move the filter minder at all. I looked at severalother stock drop ins, and they were all garbage. The pleats were poorly glued in/not straight, to thin and allowed the pleats to touch each. The Wix in comparason is top notch. There has not been any dust in the intake tube with the Wix, and it gets dusty in Utah, Nevada, & Arizona

When it needs replacement I'll get an Amsoil Nano. They are about 3 times the price of a Wix, but they are reuseable.

Well my 2 cents, Here in dusty s.d. the k&n fiters have killed alot of engines, I have a 5.4 ford f 150 in the shop right now with a knock, pulled the heads and the bores are so worn the pistons are slapping, it has 120,000 on it and its shot, the K&N has been in it since around 80,000. Yes maintenance is key, and should be watched carefully but they will let larger particulate through than any decent filter, thats what the oil is for. They are diesel killlers! too much particulate gets through. just my opinion but there are way better products out there.
