yep, I definitely need to get a winter front but they were all backordered since November around my house. Just cuz it gets cold enough where 50/50 water and antifreeze gets close to freezing...

Hey Rooster, whay don't yo just make your own? I did mine, and it really wasn't that difficult at all. I just used some scrap cardboard to make some templates, and then cut them out of scrap acrylic that I had laying around. It works really good, and didn't cost me a nickel.

I have the grill inserts from Lund. Warm up time is cut in half. I had to take off the lower half during a warm up around hear (RI)

Yes, I think I did

Before putting them on, I'd hafta drive lets say 5 miles before I'd feel some heat on my tootsies, whereas now I can get some heat after about 2 miles. Also, I'm pretty sure that it doesn't take as long to go from 140 degrees to 190. It hasn't exactly been "artic" here, so it's hard to say for sure, but I'm very happy with the results, especially since it cost me nothing to get them.

I use 2 pieces of 1 inch styrofoam insulation. The stuff that comes in a 4'x8' sheet for like $10. I cut one piece and stuff it in from the top and one from the bottom. I put them inbetween the rad and intercooler. I had them on front of everything but my tranny was gettting to warm. works great. Stuffs in there tightly and stays there on its own no need to fasten it. I had a extra sheet in the basement and it only took me about 2 minutes. I cant see paying $120 for a big sheet of fabric that does the same thing.

Just went thru a period of 0 to -5 degree weather with -30 degree windchill. Purposely did not plug it in to see how it started in cold temps. Started just fine, but would recommend to plug it in whenever possible as it is much easier on the truck. I noticed with the cover on it warms up a little quicker, but the biggest difference is it don't cool down when sitting at a long traffic light or when idling at the store. It also seems to run a little smoother keeping some
of the extreme cold air from the air filter.
