OK 2nd Gen boys...please explain something to me....why do some have the plastic thing on the tail gate and some don't? Was it a package thing? Was it a model year thing?

 

i was told that when u fold it down, its something like a protector from hitting anythong laying on the bumper..but i think that is BS....no idea what it is really for...mine didnt have it?

it was on there when i bought it he told me he custom fit it to the truck it was off and old ford i beleave but said is solid as heck i'll take better pics of it later
