Default oil bypass filter

Just installed yesterday. Works like a charm and was easy to install. Thesefirst2pics show the bracket in raw form cut, drilled, welded, and ready for paint:

(3)welds smooth semi-flat black paint applied

(4)mounted on the engine, factory wires routed through the gusset

(5)oil pickup line from full flow filterthat runs up to the bypass, just unscrew the plug thereand plumb it

(6)installed Amsoil BMK11 bypass filter

Not entirely happy with how I routed the oil pickup line or the fact that it's a little too long and Iplan on re-doing that. I'm thinking some steel braided lines would look better too. But it'll work just fine as is for the time being. Anyways this is my truck I don't think I've ever posted a pic of it here. This pic doesn't do it justice but it's the only oneI got on this laptop. Need to get a nice one inmy avatar...

( edited: could not get the thmubnail pics to post. They showed up fine when inserted in the post but never would post when submitted[:@])

OK, IDK... tried to fix your post so the pics show up like they should and it would not work for me either.

You might try using the picture box at the end of the bottom row in the toolbar. It embedds the pic in the post.

Nice work! how well do you think the paint will hold up with the heat in the engine compartment? Is it engine paint or something?

I dont think that it will get that hot where it is, I painted one of my 2.3 turbo intakes with tractor enamel and all has been fine
