Yup more dealers are selling short! but that pisses me of because now your truck that you bought in the last 18 months is now more worthless and your loan to value is now upside down or any equity you had in it is gone. you get the sanerio of i want X amount for my truck and the stealer said sorry but we have new ones on the lot for that so your 40,000 truck that you put 10,000 down is now not even worth what you owe.

but great for the new buyer, but manufacturer is screwing people that already have one[:@]

I am sure there are lots of poor bastards that are paying full sticker price. Those are usualy the ones who can't afford it in the first place and the dealer sticks it to them. The poor buyer is so happy the nice dealer was able to get him financed, he doesn't mind paying full sticker thinking he is lucky to have it.
Then 6 months later it's repo'ed and sitting back on a used lot somewhere.

That would suck. When I worked at Countrywide in California, I seen about 3 cars repo'd out of the lot. it sucked to watch but faces were priceless after.

Yup, I've got the 5.9, but I want the 6-spd Automatic that the new one comes with, the Jake brake would be great too.

ORIGINAL: Watermelon

Reed, If you have the 5.9 In your truck they are still in high demand even with high miles like mine......... Frogger, I would not even think of trading the 04, I would just sell it outright. The biggest thing drawing me on the 08 is the BRAKE and the 0%. If I had plenty of $$$ I would keep the ole grey mule and buy the 08 but that is a sweeeeet dream. I have been waiting for a deal like this for a while, since I use my truck for pretty much all business it is all tax deductable I would like to have the 4x4 even though the only use I would have for it is to Trash NickBeeks yard and the Kewlness factor weighs in heavy

Back in Oct. '04 when the '05's were alreadyout, I bought my '04 CTD2500 Laramieext. caboff the dealer lot. The sticker was $45k, he knocked 10k right off, plus gave me a rebate of $3,250 on top of that! How could I say no? Ihad to pay 5 percent interest on the loan though, but I didn't mind.
