Default Code p0628

2003 2500 5.9L ctd. Engine quit running on the side of the road last week. The code read (p0628), low voltage fuel circuit. I cracked open the fuel filter and replaced the fuel filter. Still didn't start. After cranking over a few times I noticed no fuel was getting into the fuel filter bowl. I tested several thigs and found that the lift pump that should show 5 amps was unresponsive when I tested it with a meter. The book says it's comming from the ecm. Has anybody had this problem?? I am not getting the whirl wind sound from the pump so, I know it's not working. All relays have been checked and feses look fine. Anysuggestions would be greatly helpful.

The lift pump is gone. My 04 did the same thing last year. It is covered by the 100k warranty. I would not keep trying to crank it. Good luck

Thanks, I have a call into Dodge to see if itwould becovered under the 100k mile cummins warranty. Anyone know for sure if it would be covered or should I take care of it myself?

if you do not have a damage disclosure on the pickup that would have voided the warranty and if you are int the 5yr 100k you are covered
