Man I wish I could have gotten a picture on this truck I saw today. I was driving down the freeway and came up behind what I thought was a Chevy 1500. It had a completely shaved rear end. I mean it HAD NO TAILGATE or tail lights or bumper. It was one solid piece in the back and looked kinda cool but I can't see not haveing a tialgate!!
I went to pass him and it turned out to be a 2nd gen CTD Ram. Holy zhit!!
I wish I had a camera, I have never seen a truck with a solid bed and no tailgait not to mention the bumper it was all shaved into the bed!!

 

Was he running some kind of LED light bar to stay legal w/ the brakes lights?

Yep he had this thin strip of LED's about where the bumper and tailgate normaly would be but the were almost invisable untill you got close (truck was red). But man this thing was seamless, just one big square nicely rounded off back. Not a roll pan or anything like that, it was one SOLID piece.

 

sweet i like the look of trucks where they are flat at the back or have roll pans but i liek the look of a bumper more but for show trucks i like that look!

 

I like a heavy big bumper. Or a scratched and dented stock bumper. Shows you're not afraid to use it

 

thats the new thing thats going on out here. I see it all the time. They just weld up all the seems to make it look like one piece.

 

Yeah those are kinda cool I welded up a few tailgates and bumpers in the past for buds that got street trucks, most of the time they don't need the bed cause they got a C-notch for their suspension and then air tanks and pumps batteries gas tanksetc....so they just put a bed cover over it and call it a day, Looks really good but haven't seen many trucks do it that weren't low riders....
