Default Oil Filters

I've read many of the previous posts regarding the filters, but just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Purolator or STP brand (Mfg. by Champion Labs.) oil filters. Both made in the USA. I've used the Purolator twice and STP once with no problems.

STP no longer manufactures filters, I bought one that I thought was stripped for my Dakota, put a fram on, took the STP back, they gave me another one that I kept until the next oil change (couple months ago) and that one was not threaded correctly either. I emailed STP and they informed me they no longer make filters anymore and would not give me a refund. I'm done with STP, thats for sure. Purolator is a great filter, you can tell just by looking in it that it is higher quality than the fram.

I wonder when they stopped makin' the STP oil filters? I just bought one at AutoZone in August '07. No problem with the threading. Mine went right on.

On our gassers I use napa gold and the amsoil filter, On the CTD I use a stratapore. They are all good filters and I have had no issues with them so far.
