Default Gonna Try the Brew!

I finally stopped at Wal-Mart this afternoon and bought a gallon of PSD and Marvel Mystery Oil. I filled up and added 4 oz of MMO and 8 oz of PSD. I think this is what Drew's Brew calls for. I hope it pays off. I've been getting about 15 mpg and I hope I can get 16 on the next tank. I'll let you know if it helps me.

FYI don't spill any of that stuff on your hands cause it really has a weird smell that will not come off.[&:]

Consider replacing the MMO with a TCW-3 rated 2-stroke oil. Seems to have better results then MMO.

I'll do that. I'll use this bottle of MMO, but I'll replace it with what you suggested. Thanks.

I have yet to be able to find either of those products here in Houston at a walmart yet. I don't even see where they sell 2-cycle oil in anything bigger than 4oz bottles any more?

The 2-cycle oil has better lubrication properties and burns cleaner. Just make sure you get an ashless TCW-3 type. Walmart sells it in a blue gallon jug, for about $8/gal. There have been threads that have gone on for damn near 200 pages on this topic.

Wallmart carries 2 stroke oil in most stores. I think they sell the Quicksilver brand in qts or gallons.

Im not sure what PSD is ?
