Default Oil Leak

I lose or burn about 2 qts. every 4000 miles. I got 190,000 on the truck. A Little bit of oil comes out of a plastic tube coming down between the block and the starter. Is this were all my oil goes and why does oil come out of this hose?

Sounds like blowby ,Id check compresion in each cylender and see which rings are shot and alowing oil to pass and alowing presure in crank case and venting to the outside or you are burning it(caked up valves) pull manifold and run to see which hole is spewin oil

Yeah that's all it is. It's the blow-by / vent hose. Prefectly normal.

My truck has 245000 miles and burns about 1 qrt per 300 miles, I did a compression test, all cylanders had same compression, It was using more oil but I changed my valve cover gaskets which were leaking and it got a little better, might be valve guides or rings. Try lucas stabilizer.

Yes that is the blow by tube, but it is not normal to be losing a quart of oil every 2000 miles.

Oops ...

I meant that it was normal for oil to drip out of it. NOT 1 quart every 2K. I must have missed that part.

try Lucas if you want. I used it in a different vehicle till I found it made the oil white like it had water. never again willI use Lucas.
