I asked, he told me that he has never done a transmission filter on any of his personal vehicles.
If I was told that, I'd be finding me a new mechanic pronto!!

If you are in a pinch go to a Dodge dealer and get a mopar filter which is a Fleetguard standard filter.

Check at your local Wal-Mart. My hometown one has Mopar filters that fit my 2003 CTD. I don't know the difference in price vs. the stealership.

just finished the first oil change on my new truck!! I ended up with a Wix filter and the Valvoline oil that said Cummins on it, I figured it was the way to go since it said "recomended by Cummins" but while under there I noticed that the transfer case looked like it was leakin' some red stuff!! this is a brand new truck!! 3500 miles only, why is there red stuff under the transfer case??!!

If you have any local big rig places you can get them there pretty cheap. For the strattapore I think it was 13 bucks from cummins and I went across the street to kenworth and got it for 9. No shipping or waiting
