even the plug in converters become very hot over time.

that would be a weak point for a fire if not cooled properly.

do you have access below the rear seat ?

if so, the converter may be mounted there and then air fans installed at either end of the compartment to circulate cabin air in and out. then your output leads would need to be installed with protection in mind.

if you have access to the rear seat bases. could you not install the receptacle (s) in that face ???

I have vents that run through (under) the center console. I could tap into those with about a 1" plastic tube and than squeez that down and run it so it blows on the converter that way. The mega cab seats have nothing under them. I want it to be clean so you cant see any wires.

I found the link on a search for 110v auto installs.

That's a sweet install. I may have to put one in my truck now.

Parts/Service is kinda our little 'hook-up'; he is a really great guy willing to help w/ stuff from Dodge. He has assisted several memeber in aquiring required parts and lots of information flows from him.

Have you tried an RV dealer or a RV parts dealer, they put these converters in almostevery RV that you buy these days and in a multitude of configurations.

yep! Parts/ Service aka DAVE is the guy for Dodge stuff!

I have a local Dodge guy here in Phoenix that I use (he gets 5 other vehicle manufacter parts also) , but Dave would be the guy ifI was elsewhere!

Converter must stay cool.
...and dry. Which is why the underhood location show at that link completely puzzles me...
