Default New guys wants advice

As mentioned in an eariler post, I have a 2008 6.7 dually on order. I have about 8 weeks before it gets here. I am reading up on performace parts and don't really have the concept of a pressure box vs a timing box. I would like feedback on which to choose from.

I'm not looking to make this truck all ***** out, just want to make it perform better than stock. I was thinking I would start out by deleting the muffer, doing the mod Cumminz did to his airbox, and adding a programmer of some sort. The TS MP8 looks good since it does no programming to the computer. It says it has 3 setings, up to 100 hp and around 250 tq. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

TST is working on a box for the 6.7's. I am running the one for the 5.9L and absolutely love it, only one complaint, not enough low end torque. that is stacked on top of the Smarty programmer, Marco is currently working on the programmer for the 6.7's. this programmer is probably the best one you can get.

the TS MP-8 is a pure pressure box and while it will add good power, you are actualy driving the CP3 pump and injectors harder than they should. the only time I would add a pressure box is in a stack to dial in a bit more power.

Bully dog I believes makes a product for the 6.7's that has so far given good results.

I got the superchips 3808 on my 6.7. If you keep it on the towing mode which is 60 hp.should be safe I have had it on the 100 hp and the 115 hp settings. WOW WOW WOW WOW... Now the down side The transmissions can only handle about 60 or so extra horses. I will be going to the dealer now because I have noticed some slipping in the transmission on 1-2 shift and about a 1-2 second delay when I put it in drive. Be careful with power settings

Not to dispute what you are saying, because I don't know..But I have read the auto transmission in these trucks could handle 100hp with no problems.....Anyone out there have the skinny?
