Default Trip to Reno

So Im gonna be heading off to Reno sat morning and they have that great climb over Donner pass and now that I got my programmer I know my truck will smoke going over it. I want to run some PSD in it so that when I do climb and get that boost up there it helps to clean the system out a little bit. Thing is my buddies dad is going and he drives a FERD on 35's and I want to be able to smoke around him. Is that PSD going to stop my truck from smoking any?

Donner Pass ain't that bad. I've driven it several times when I was driving OTR in a Semi. I did almost smoke my brakes the first time I drove it though. Was still a rooky and only other mountain I had climbed in a semi prior to that was GrapeVine.
I would love to drive my CTD on a good grade but I live in flat *** south Texas!
We are going to Vegas in March and I am trying to talk the wife into driving up there instead of flying. That way I could take the long way around thru AZ and see da boyz then criuse on up thru Flagstaff. Maybe even criuse on over thru comunist territory ( Callifonia ) and drive up that way or even across the Hoover Dam would be cool and make for some Awesome CTD pictures.
But I'm sure we will wind up flying and rent some BS compact rice burner while we are there[:@]

you should love it... the "blue canyon" grade as I call it is a nice long grade where you can really open it up. should be clear sailing the whole way as there are no chain restrictions. Every time I go up there I set my motor up to do 35~37 psi all the way up. cleans it out nicely I think.

well unfortunately I didn't drive. I rode in the FERD but it was a lot cheaper. It took a lot longer to get out there because its slow but you know. I'll drive up there sometime.

pack the chains. the east side of Donners pass can be snow packed...

although it would be a down hill slide in to Reno

that could be entertaining without the other drivers on the road.
