Default IM KEEPIN IT!!!!

I posted ealier about an 08 for 32k. Well boys Ive been studying, listening and watching and driving my 04, I gotta tell you that I would be NUTTS to take an 08 over my 04. No offence 6.4 owners but dang there just are not any improvements to justify me trading. Myold truck gets good mpgs, It runs perfect, Heck it even still looks new with a 116k on it. And it is almost paid for . DC is gonna have to do something to show me that the 6.4 is better than the 5.9. I aint seeing it. Thanks to the GORE crowd they have gotten the new diesels choked down and a hood packed full of crap that even the Techs at the dealer cant figure out what the heck is wrong with em. Only thing us 5.9 boys can hope for is a million miles out of the ones we have or a sweet deal on a good used truck. Just my 2cents dont get mad.

I wasn't aware that you were considering switching up. Glad to hear that your head is now at rest. I think you made the right choice.

Not to bash the 5.9 but if you guys read the posts here you will see just as many people saying they get poor mpg on their 5.9. I get around 15 mpg city and 20 HWY cruising 80mph at 2000 rpm's with 3.73 gears.

Bad batch in every truck or car and with time MPG will get better. Take my smooth 6 speed auto over a 4 speed anyday... All great motors go with the technology. guess all you guys are running around in your 5.9's with 8 tracks??

Not bashing just stating a point

I must have been NUTTY for a few days,[sm=alcoholic.gif]Anyhow, after driving the 6.7 I was'nt at all impressed except fpr the brake. My 04 is stock and feels like it has more guts than the 6.7. I think I will wait a few more years and let DC get the bugs out

Just load it and see what the dyno says, then go back to stock. [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

I think you made the right decision. Your truck runs like butter! AS long as it keeps running and not costing you money I would keep that truck for ever!
