Default thanks fixinrams.com

I just finished rebuilding my vacuum pump on my 99 ram 3500. Just wanted to get the word out that fixinrams.com is a great site and sold me a great kit to rebuild the pump. If anyone else has this problem, get this kit, its very easy to do and will save you alot of mess and headache. The only thing that would have made it easier, is if Pete would come and put the pump back in the truck for me. Thanks again Pete Gould from fixinrams.com, I was very impressed with the dvd guiding you thru the whole thing.

Checked out the website;looks like a great resource for repairing starters and vacuum pumps.

When I worked at an auto parts store (early 90s) I recall that rebuilt hard parts (starters, alternators, water pumps) were the store's biggest money maker. I recall that many of the rebuilt starters sold for around $45, but only cost the store around $16. A few months ago I bought a rebuiltalternator for a Chevy Vortec 350 for $109 plus core. It would have been great (and probably more fun) to rebuild it myself with 30 bucks worth of parts.

I have ordered his starter kit and vacuum kit. Both are very excellent quality and come with great instructions and a video.
