boost fooler question
so i was thinking.... well with these damn trucks you are always thinking what to buy, BUT if i get a boost fooler it would not only give me more boost but bring down egt's like they say in the add's or is that false. i think i remember someone saying that anything above the stock boost would not be cooling air or somthing like that. im curious because i am running the power puck now and i have seen temps up near 1470 and coming from the quad xzt i was only seeing numbers around 1380....
plus i am thinking it would be a cheap mod

You will need one at some point running programmers cause you'll be throwing codes without it. You might look into other methods of lowering the EGT's though. Bigger turbo, intercooler, water injection or... run more timing.
yeah nicky, triton is right, the best thing u can do is a bigger turbo to lower temp, before i had my BD superB i was often going at 1400 whit a programmer and 100hp sticks so i had to slow down
when id put my new turbo it was really hard to go to 1400 i was more likely to 1200 max when i was WOT
now i just put a edge comp box over my programmer and im back at 1400 when i mash the pedal even at 40PSI and i will switch my hypertpac program to a smarty soon so now i NEED the 2nd turbo
of the BDsuperB twin set... but before i need to switch to studs and oring my head then after ill be looking for 75PSI before needing 14mm stud a cam and a 3th BIGGER turbo to keep the things spooling

) it would be that much of a cooler upgrade....
timeing only causes the injector to fire sooner. . .the sooner the injector fires the longer the combustion process and thus the cooler the exhaust.
just be carefull when running timeing though. . .I found out real quick with any timeing software on the smarty and my TST turned to anything above 2/2 makes a nasty injector racket. a little timeing will be your friend to cooling things off, but too much will run you the risk of blowing a hole through a piston.
