A buddy of mine has the opportunity to purchase a 97 CTD that has been rear ended for 1500 bucks. He wants to swap the CTD into his 85 1 ton ram. The 97 is a complete truck with 120k miles. He is quite adept at welding/fab work he is a millwrite by trade. Any ideas on what will be needed besides motor/tranny mounts and driveline angles reset? How complicated are the electronics on this model CTD? I havent seen the truck yet but he will pick it up next week. Does this 97 have a stand alone ECM? Any help or suggestions will be greatly apreciated!
