OIL inside of rim on back wheel??

under truck today i noticed some oil on rear wheel inside the rim. possibly wheel seal right? Is that a big job? ive done them on semi trucks but not 3/4 tons

My truck is a 2004.5 ram diesel 2500 4X4

sounds like a rear wheel cylinder.

can it not be diff oil from wheel seal? the oil was blackish looking but it smelt like the 75w90 amsoil i put in there last summer.

could be an axle seal, but the other guys would know better.

Sounds like a wheel seal. If it was a brake cylinder the caliper would be soaked. Since you have full floating axles (just like semi trucks) it should be no different from them except smaller parts.
