If I was to decide to sell this rig, what would it be worth??



I had an offer the other day, and responded like an@&$ to the person.


I would have to get enough to:

1) replace the truck with another

or

2) rebuild/ buy new engine for my baja and service the trans axle

 

guess I should post some pics

 

On the VW;

Stroke the crank, 105mm or so barrels . . . . take it up to 1800ci or so. Dual port heads with Chevy valves, a couple downdraft Webers, . . . . .. you know the drill.


But then that same money would go a LONG way with the CTD. I believe I'd hang on to the truck though.

the baja in the pic is my friends 1970 that he raced last year at a local track.

I have a 1959 baja

money for this truck?? well if I sell it I would buy another ctd, maybe a '94.

as far as engines for the dub, I had a 2007cc stroker. lost the rear main bearing, spung the crank and had to ditch the case. only things recoveredwere the heads, and 78mm stroker crank.

the 2007cc failed due to IMPROPER rebuild proceedures by the "mechanic" who did the work. (rebuilt and bored over to 90.5mm pistons and stroker crank3 yrs before I purchased the dub)

it currently has a stocker 1600cc from a bus that seems to have a bad jug...yes dubs have JUGS
