Auto tranny sparratic shifting
mines at dodge right now for the same thing, and honestly they said it could be my thermostat, my truck in the winter doesnt get over 135 degrees, they said it needs to be warmer to shift right, and this is a buddy of mine who works there, he said they get this all the time, and also there is a kick down cable, on ur trans that could need adjusting.
I'll have to keep that in mind considering the cold weather. I just shaved all the battery terminals for excellent connection and cleaned the already clean ground cables mounted to the block, and tried theAPPS reset trick and nothing changed at all! I found two seperate web pages that explain that the alternator can create noise which messes with the computer and causes this same problem with the transmission shifting up and down between 50-60 mph with light gas pedal. Here's the links to these pages:

I emailed DTT Diesel Performance to see what they have to say, just waiting for their response. I'll most likely end up buying their filter. What I get from the first page was that the alternator can havea leaky rectifier that causes the noise so I'm not sure if I should just replace the alternator? I'll wait to see what DTT says. All I can do now is hope there's an easy fix!

my 93 now refuses to hit OD. some of the trouble shooting is:
bad trans temp sensor
faulty TPS
broken wire harness
ecm failure
and about 50 other things in the trouble shooting guide.

I called up DTT Diesel Performance today and ordered their noise filter. It'll be here in a day or two, cost $69.00 after shipping. They told me to use this and to go to the stealership and have them load the latest software onto the computer. I hope the software update doesn't cost me an arm and a leg! Seems anything you get there usually does.
l my friend at chrysler just said my kick down linkage was 10% open, so thats probly why it was doing it, he adjusted it for nothing, at the dealership so ill be drivin it and l.et u know, you might have the same problem, and i only have 60k miles
I'm curious, when I go to the stealership to get the computer updated with the latest software are they gonna charge me for this? If so, about how much should I expect to pay?
