*throws flag*

upon further review of the play, there is a black ground wire that connects to the passenger side terminal. it has a clasp that you wrap around the wires and tighten down, and that clasp then goes onto the negative terminal on th battery. even though the clasp looked okay, i hammered it a few times to tighten it down and never had the problem again. try takin a hammer and tightening the clasps on that cable.

So the whole thing turned out to be a bad connection at the battery?

Thanks for the advice regarding fuel economy. I have another question. For the last 2 mornings, when i leave 2 go 2 work, I get a bad shaking/ hopping from the rear of truck around 40mph. If i speed/ slow it goes away. It only does it in the morning when the truck is cold (but its 90 degress in Orlando). Also the last couple of days my tranny has slipped between 1st & 2nd. Its not consistant... it slipped Tues & Wed but not Thursady. Its an 04 Dodge 2500 auto tranny ...Thanks for all advice

Hate to burst anybodys bubble. But i have a 06 and im having the same problem with the shiffting although mine is more eltric i think. It feel like the tranny is hunting for a gear but has problems finding one. I cleaned the batteries very good and replaced the ground strap thats on the tranny and replaced the the tranny computer and drove fine for three weeks and last friday guess what **** hit the fan. Let me know if your problem is fixed for good. Im going to get it to the dealership and have them reflash everything. Btw do i need to undo my edge/attitude to get the ecu flashed? any help will be great.

Default Finally a solution?????

I stumbled upon this site which gives a reason for this problem.

http://www.kentsoil.com/dodgebug1.htm

I cannot guarantee it works but I have ordered the part myself ($25) and will let you know how it goes.

Thanks bud. I pulled my edge unit out of it and so far so good. I think i had a faulty wire harness or some crap. But I'm taking a road trip to Canada this weekend so hopefully its fixed. Keep me posted on what go's on on your rig.

Yeah, that noise filter works wonders...people would be amazed at the transmission problems that can be solved with that wire
