Ground finally froze enough to get in and get some firewood for next year. How's come the guy with the damn powerjoke always insist on pulling the dump trailer? I was keeping my fingers crossed he would get stuck and I could pull him and the trailer both out at once. He did alright though. Thank goodness for creaper gear. He still had to get on the skinny petal pretty hard to get her rolling. He also had close to a ton of coal in his bed.

Anyhow 4 guys, 6 hours, 1 dump trailer, 1 tractor, 3 Stihl's , and 1 box of slushy beer and we ended up gettting 4 heaping loads out. Whoever invented the dump trailer was a freaking genius, BTW.

A wise man once said "he who cuts his own wood warms himself twice". I actually think it's 3 or 4 times but I enjoy it anyhow. More fun next week as long as jack frost cooperates.

I wish I had a place to go cut all the wood I want. I end up with green wood every year. Usually the stuff no one else wants.

 

I grabbed a couple loads of wood for my mom back at Christmas, two in the truck and then 3 with tractor and trailer out in the woods. I still had room until the overloads

rear suspension, the curved flat metal bars are the springs, the top one that is just about touching shows that there was still some play left even with all the weight in the box.

 

u dont have this on ur truck mayfair? i tough every 2500+ got this....
mine are always near that bumper whit teh extra weight :P
