ey all! Has anyone pulled their silencer ring on the 07 6.7 yet? I posted many moons ago and was going to pull mine but puss'd out.

actualy ythe silencer rin on the 6.7's is a bit different than the 5.9's. there are three "rivets" that hold it in.

BTW, it is broken like that from the guy useing a pry bar to get it out, said it was pressed in.

 

HOLY CRAP!! I want to see a picture of his turbo after that mod. Does he still have a turbo??

 

OMG!!! I hope the turbo itself wasn't damaged. that's what i was afraid of. there is no easy way to take it out and with my luck... i will FUB the whole turbo. my every day is a monday!

did it make much of a diff? did the turbo whine get louder? how much louder... lots or not lots?

from what I read the turbo is just fine, the ring that is pictures took all the damage.

BTW, he said the sound was kinda hard to describe, a cross between a blower wine and a turbo. but after is spins up a bit it got loud
