There is a truck that I always see on the road that is probably a road work contractor. He has strobes in his headlights and reverse lights. He drives a king ranch F250, and it is his personal truck. I will check the laws, but I would rather get a ticket then get ran over.
If your truck is parked I can not see aproblem with it. Now if in motion then you can be impersonating a officer of the law. Of course I can be wrong.
I can agree without a doubt. Just so long as the operator of the vehicle remembers to turn off all his doodads before moving down the road again. I've lost count of how many times I've seen various construction pickups and such driving down the road with their overhead amber lights still going. And I'm not talking about Pilot cars and such. People forget. Hell, I forgot a few times when I was driving Tow Truck back in the 90's.
This thread made me think about my own Pierce Daddy Conveyance. I may just have to get a set of strobes myself for my Volunteer Firefighter work. As I said, I can put them on my front ambers. I can't put them on the rear brake lamps because I've changed those out to 100% LED units. I'll have to get a pair of amber or reds to put below the bumper. Hmmm..................Mommabear is gonna be P'd. Oh well.
