Default block heater need help?????????

have 99 3500 i could hear a sound when i plugged heater up now i cant checked all fuses all connections and changed to three diffrent outlets on pluggin it up to make sure i was getting electric...so how do i tell if its working or not will it have a code? or what?

Plug it in for 30 minutes, then grab the heater where the cord plugs in. If its warm, its working.

plugs not warm so what u think it may be the heater cord?are they hard to change?

If the cords are like the new dodges, I would venture to guess that they are, then they just unscrew from the heater. They you need an ohm meter to check if the wires are broken in the cord. If, the cord checks out fine then the problem would have to be the heater. Someone else will have to help you on replacing the heater element.[align=left] [/align]

check the radiator not the cord. if the radiator is warm than its working

This should show a picture of the element in the block. The cord plugs into the element, the cord goes out your grill and to your extension cord.
